Our small brewery is housed on the farm, just a short distance from the old homestead. We are set amongst the rolling drumlins of County Monaghan, just a few miles from the birthplace of Patrick Kavanagh, the inspiration for our India Pale Ale
SHANCO PORTER
A bottle conditioned beer with strong notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt and licorice. Full bodied and slightly sweet with a roastie warm finish. Ideal with smoked meats, oysters, game or extra mature cheddar cheese.

A sweet, toasty Oatmeal Stout with a dark chocolate and coffee finish. Ideal with game or strong red meat, smoked meats and hearty stews, desserts with chocolate, caramel or dark fruits. Best served around 8 to 10c

CAPSIZE
Pale Ale with a tantalising aroma of Black Pepper and Citrus but on the tongue, definite tastes of Vanilla and Caramel are evident. The mellow fruity note of Peaches and Apricots flow elegantly into a smoky finish on the palette. More sweet but with a hint of bitterness.

DRIFT
Drift is Drop’s twin beer, released in the early days and originally concocted on a homebrew kit. The goal was to make a smoother, sweeter, less hop driven alternative for those who weren’t keen for the style of Drop. The result is a mellow golden ale with notes of biscotti.

DROP
Drop has been with us since the very beginning, before the creation of Jaw Brew as a well refined home brew recipe. As one of our debut beers, we were looking to create a reliable, dependable session pint with a nice hopped aroma on the nose and a smooth bitter finish and once we did.

FATHOM
Created to include Porter and Stout enthusiasts, it has won an award each year since the brewery began and is widely recognised as a damm good beer. Distinct in style with more depth of character than can reasonably be expected of a mere 4%.

SPINNAKER
Our craft lager was designed to bring a premium style back to the fore. Lager, meaning ‘storeroom’ in German, requires a two weeks storage at 6-8 degrees after fermentation. A Kolsch style is warm fermented, unlike most lagers, which results in a clear straw coloured beer with a lemony hit behind the distinctive lager malt flavour.

SURF
Who doesn’t like something a little different? Surf was born as a more exciting pale beer style by doing something new, adding a german yeast to a pale recipe and dry hopping. We created a snappy, tangy, naturally hazy beer.

WAVE
Much experimentation was required in timing the bittering hops to create a beer with a sweet banana taste at the start and smooth wheaty finish representative of the iconic style. It has since been heralded as a marvellous representation of the style by many, Bavarians and Brits alike.

The Long Meadow is part of our farm, which has been owned by the McKeever family for three generations. From the beginning our family has adopted a policy of cultivating mainly Bramley apple but also a mix of varieties and using different sowing processes to further refine the apples we use. Our cider is pressed and fermented naturally by both father and son, Pat and Peter McKeever.
